For a fun way to visit the museum, borrow the free family kit which booklet is translated in English (3 years and over).
Most of mahJ's game booklets are available in French only at reception. Family activities take place in French : during the school holidays, a wide range of workshops are available for children aged 4 and over. Activity sheets for fun at home (in French) are also available to download.
Toddlers are welcome:
small pushchairs are allowed and there are changing facilities in the toilets. Prams and large pushchairs must be left in the cloakroom. The mahJ lends baby carriers. Don't hesitate to ask to use the lifts to make getting around easier.
There is a drinks dispenser and a water fountain in the bookshop (the former dining room of the Hôtel de Saint-Aignan, decorated with frescoes). Benches, chairs and tables are also available in the museum courtyard for eating or relaxing.
Just behind the museum is the Anne Frank public garden. You can get there via Impasse Berthaud and enjoy its play area and lawns..

Activities at the museum (in French)
During the school holidays, the mahJ offers its young visitors a rich cultural programme. The workshops systematically combine a fun, interactive visit with creative work in the studio. Consult the agenda to find the programme for families and for children (without their parents) of 4-7 years and of 8-12 years. These activies take place in French language.
At home activities (in French)
Paste, cut-out, animation, cooking... There's something for everyone! You'll also find online worksheets (in French) designed to help you and your family carry out activities at home based on the museum's themes.
The children's magazine "Le petit Léonard" has devoted a special issue to the mahJ. Leonardo and Mona Lisa, the heroes of "Little Leonardo", take you on a tour of the museum's rich collections.
This publication in French is on sale in the museum bookshop. You'll find it in the children's section, alongside picture books, stories, children's novels and music. An English-language section is also available.
Celebrate your birthday at the mahJ!
On Wednesday or Sunday afternoons, from 2.30pm, bring your friends along for the party!
