Digital educational kit “Culture(s) en partage, shared culture(s)” (in French)

This innovative teaching tool is in line with the shared objective of the two institutions: to build bridges between Jewish and Muslim cultures in order to fight prejudice. Based on a secular and sensitive approach using works of art, the kit is free and can be used independently by cycle 3 and 4 French teachers.
The kit provides a classroom approach to the contemporary themes of living together and education about tolerance as a means of tackling racism and anti-Semitism. Using museum collections as a starting point, it aims to deconstruct prejudices and develop common knowledge based on clear scientific and historical references. It is distributed free of charge to schools taking part in the inter-museum tour « Culture(s) en partage ».
Designed around pairs of mirrored works from each collection, with information and activities revolving around them, the kit deals with topics as diverse as Semitic languages, Jerusalem, sacred texts, biblical characters, figurative representation, the art of the book, women between tradition and modernity, popular beliefs, marriage, arts and crafts, places of prayer, calendars and culinary traditions. Discover some of these pairs in the gallery below :
