Opening hours

Due to the lockdown, the museum is currently closed. Though, the bookshop is open and the library is open on appointment.

The museum is closed every Monday except for schoolgroups on booking. The museum is closed every 1st January, 1st May, for the the Jewish New Year (Roch ha-Shana) and for the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur).

Opening hours - Library

During the lockdown researchers have access to the library on appointment only. 

When the mahJ will open again, the library opens from Tuesday to Friday: 14.00–17.30. The library is open in the morning, on appointment only

Please note that the library will be closed earlier, at 5 pm, on Friday, February 14th.

Opening hours - Bookshop

During the lockdown, the mahJ bookshop is open Tuesday to Friday from 11h to 17h30, Saturday and Sunday from 10h to 17h30 (last access at 17h15).

Audio guides

Audio guides for the permanent collection in French, English, German, Spanish, Russian  and Hebrew are available free of charge.

Disabilities

The museum has the “Tourisme et handicap” accreditation for autonomous visits by people with hearing or learning disabilities. The permanent collection is accessible to people with reduced mobility with an accompanier (lift), but access includes obstacles (paved courtyard, sloped entry ramp, manually operated door). Partially sighted or blind people can request to touch certain objects with gloves (enquire at reception).
