Latest restorations

The mahJ regularly undertakes restoration work on works in its collection and on new acquisitions.

Cabane pour la fête des cabanes (soukkah), Autriche ou sud de l’Allemagne, fin du XIX^e siècle

The mahJ restores x to xx works each year: paintings, drawings, textiles... Cleaning or restoration is systematic for all acquisitions, but also for works already in the collection.

In 2021, the mahJ carried out a major restoration: that of panel no. 16 of the soukkah (hut), a key work in the collections whose missing panel had recently been found. This restoration was documented in a film by Cyril Bérard.
